MA (album launch) + Hello Vera + Lily So & Co.
Sydney duo MA launch their new album Dance Until My Heart Breaks with a celebration of love, lust and liberation.
MA's full nine-piece band, including backup singers "The MAvettes" and horn section "The Horned Beasts", will warm your heart, your head and your dancing shoes all at once.
Their first album was "subtle, delicate and original" (Time Out) and "dripping with melody" (SMH), but MA's new record is raucous, with infectious beats and a huge, brassy sound.
They've already scored RAGE's indie single of the week and plays on Triple J, so come along and see what the fuss is about.
Also playing are sweet songsters Hello Vera whose new single On the Road is a catchy cross between Feist and Burt Bacharach, and Lily So & Co, Lily is a Sydney songstress whose combined love of folk stories and Edith Piaf produces songs with a unique, guitar-driven sensibility.
