Jazz at the Vinery

The Vinery, 125 Johnston St, Annandale, NSW

Well, it seems as though live music in Sydney ain't so dead after all..... as you can see in the above picture. The good folk from the Neville Young Jazz band have been performing outside, much to the delight of our guests, and to an extent, our friends driving by. The Group is led by vocalists Rebekka Neville, Michael Finnigan-Young, and band leader Michael Storey. We, and the greater neighbourhood community, have thoroughly enjoyed the band on the outside verandah. And weather permitting, we'll be repeating the same. So bookings for outdoor tables will be hotly contested. Proceedings begin at 1pm, Sunday the 7th April, offering our seasonal a la carte menu and entire wine list. Book your table via our website, www.vineryfoods.com.au or call us on 95664266. So, whether it's a simple glass and a plate, or a full a la carte menu, it's your call. Get together with friends and loved ones, together with our warm hospitality on this day. We would love to host you. Oh, and by the way, $10 Aperol Spritz is featuring again during the entire afternoon.....

Good Omens

Illawarra Performing Arts Centre, 32 Burelli Street, Wollongong NSW

An apocalyptically atypical new musical based on the novel by Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman. Music & Lyrics by Vicki Larnach. Book by Jim Hare, Jay James-Moody & Vicki Larnach. Based on the novel by Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman.

According to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch (the world’s only completely accurate book of prophecies, written in 1655), the world will end on a Saturday. Next Saturday, in fact. Just before dinner. The armies of good and evil are amassing, Atlantis is rising, fish are falling, and everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan. A fussy angel and a fast-living demon are not looking forward to the impending rapture. They team up to circumvent the end of days but there is one problem. Someone seems to have misplaced the Anti-Christ.
