Sydney Saxophone Collective
SSC is a collection of musicians who are the leaders in the field of classical saxophone in Sydney, Australia. Members of the Sydney Saxophone Collective also perform in such groups as Continuum Sax, Nexas Quartet and Alianza Saxophone Ensembles, along with other extraodinary musicians, educators and performers based in Sydney. The main objective of the ensemble is to bring to audiences diversity, with a range of music from transcriptions to world premieres of original works. Our strongest point is the infinite possibile combinations in the context of chamber and orchestra, due to the extended range of timbres derived from the saxophone family from sopranino to bass saxophone. This makes the adaption of all kinds of music possible.
